Privacy Policy

Introduction

Comms With AI ("we", "us", or "our") operates commswith.ai. This page sets out what personal information we collect from people who use the site, where it is held, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can exercise your rights. Comms With AI is a product of Faur Ltd.

Information We Collect

Your account

If you create an account, we hold your email address and your membership tier in Supabase, our database and authentication provider, in its London region (AWS eu-west-2). Signing in is by a one-time email link or with Google; we never hold a password. Your session is kept in your browser's local storage until you sign out. The sign-in form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a request comes from a person and does not identify you to us.

Foundations profiles

If you save Foundations profiles, we hold those too: the profile name and up to nine short fields describing an organisation (what it does, positioning, key messages, audiences, tone of voice, AI-use principles, red lines and standing positions), as you typed them. Profiles are the only content you write on the site that we keep. When you apply a profile to a Plan or Message Test, it is sent to Anthropic as part of that request, as a processor, under the same API terms as the tool itself. You can edit, export or delete any profile at any time from your account.

Plan and Message Test

What you type or paste into Plan or Message Test is sent to Claude, the Anthropic model that produces the result, and is not stored by us. Under Anthropic's API terms it is not used to train models; Anthropic's data-retention policy for the API is published at privacy.anthropic.com. If you use the voice option in Plan, the recording is sent to OpenAI for transcription and the text is handled as above; the recording is not stored. We keep a count of how many plans and tests each account runs per day, and whether a Foundations profile was applied, to enforce the daily allowance and to understand whether the feature is used. Plans you choose to save are kept in your browser only.

Membership payments

Member and Pro subscriptions are billed by Stripe. Stripe holds your payment details; we never see your card number. We hold your Stripe customer reference against your account so that your tier updates when you subscribe or cancel.

The Comms With AI Briefing

When you subscribe to the Briefing, we hold your email address in Mailchimp and use it only to send the Briefing and occasional updates about Comms With AI. Creating an account also adds your email to the Briefing list; every issue carries an unsubscribe link.

Live session registrations

When you register for a Comms With AI live session, we receive what you give on the registration form: your name, your email address and any optional answers. Registration runs on Luma, which hosts the registration page and sends the joining link, calendar invite and reminders for us, as a processor. Luma stores this data in the United States, and the transfer is covered by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We use your details to run the session you registered for: the joining link, reminders, and the recording afterwards. The form also asks, optionally, where you work, so we can see which kinds of organisation the sessions reach.

The form has a separate, unticked box for the Briefing. Only ticking that box adds you to the Briefing list, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Some sessions take registrations on Eventbrite instead, which handles them under its own privacy notice as well as this one.

Enquiries and template requests

The template request form, the Deploy and training enquiry forms, the Leader updates form and the Pro membership enquiry are handled by Formspree, which passes them to us by email. We receive what you enter, usually your name, email address and message, and use it to reply and to decide what to build next. A Pro enquiry is also recorded against your email address in Supabase.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for one purpose: to see which pages and features are used, so that we can improve the site. It sets cookies on your device and may process your IP address in doing so. We do not use it to identify individuals, we do not use it for advertising, we do not track you across other websites, and it cannot see your account, your profiles or anything you type into the tools. Google runs the measurement on our instructions as our processor, and the advertising features are switched off. UK law allows analytics used only in this way without consent, provided we say plainly what we are doing and give you a simple, free way to object, which is the switch in Cookies and Local Storage below. Vercel Analytics is cookieless.

How We Use Your Information

  • Accounts and profiles: to sign you in, apply your allowances, and apply your Foundations to Plan and Message Test when you ask
  • Payments: to run your subscription and keep your tier correct
  • The Briefing: to send it, every other Friday
  • Live sessions: to send your joining link, reminders and the recording
  • Enquiries and template requests: to reply to you, and to understand what people need and prioritise what we build
  • Analytics: to improve the site and understand which content and features are useful

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the processors named on this page.

Data Retention

  • Account data and Foundations profiles are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.
  • Daily usage counts are kept as aggregate rows per account per day and contain no content.
  • Briefing email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Live session registrations are deleted within 30 days of the session, once the recording has gone out. We keep only a count of registrations by type of organisation.
  • Template request submissions are kept for 12 months and then deleted.
  • Stripe retains billing records for as long as its own terms and tax law require.
  • Analytics data is aggregated.

Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Unsubscribe from the Briefing at any time
  • Object to processing of your data

You can edit, export or delete any Foundations profile from your account. There is no self-serve account deletion yet: to delete your account, email michael@faur.site and it is removed, with every profile and usage row, within a working week. For anything else, contact the same address.

Cookies and Local Storage

Google Analytics sets cookies beginning _ga for the statistics described above. Signing in stores a session in your browser's local storage, and saving a plan or a favourite template stores it there too; none of that leaves your device. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie on the sign-in page. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout pages.

You can switch analytics off here. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the name cwai-analytics, which is not a cookie and is not sent to anyone, and it applies to this browser on this device. Switch it off and the _ga cookies already set by this site are deleted and Google Analytics is not loaded again. Signing in, membership and the tools are unaffected. You can also email michael@faur.site and we will confirm it in writing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top changes when we do.
